I went with JK tires. They were way too loose. The harder tire was the way to go.

Ummmmmm... that would have made you looser. If you were loose on JK treated then you could have gone with a smaller hub treated, or even untreated. Chris ran untreated in every class. I ran Kelly Retro in Can-Am and F1, JK Big Daddy in Coupe, and medium Thunder in Stocker.

Yea I ran JK8763. It was my first race on a King and I didn't really know what to do tire-wise. I tried some harder thunder tires but was stubborn and went to the JKs for qualifying and the race. It was all for nothing since my chassis was destroyed just a few laps in.

BTW thanks for fixing my chassis, Preston. Your skills as a builder are amazing and I salvaged over 200 because of your help. You and George are two of the best in slots. Thanks!

No problem. That chassis needs to be completely rebuilt. I just fixed it so you could get back on the track.

Hey stemmy,

You are an example of courage under fire and I could not let you down. I want you to know in our last repair on the pans, we "installed a special set of 'worn in' stickered tires so you could drive it around the competition" If it would have been a stock car race we could have called it "Days of White Lightning and Thunder" and you did real well with the repairs and you never lost faith. Thank you, Preston and the God of slot racers!

PS: Hope to see you in PA on your home track.

I can't thank you two guys enough. You have no idea how pissed I was. I had just got that car two weeks before that race and couldn't believe it was destroyed.

I was happy to see you and Preston did very good. I'm going to send some of my cars to Preston for repair.

Thanks again, guys.
