New Indy car bodies?

True Scale, Parma, O/S???
This might make a new class....
Why wouldn't the Indy Eagle with the wide pan on the back be legal? On the west coast, they are running the STP Lotus Turbine body in F-1? Are they not legal for IRRA?

The CURRENT DW12 Indy body should be moldable, but I wonder how PRACTICAL it would work as a vacumn formed shell. I can see a lot of rear end collapse. Now a hardbody version.....
I asked the Parma man about the latest NASCAR body....blade spoiler and the COT nose......THOSE I could live with as well.
IRRALLC does infer that Indy bodies (pre 1969) are legal for the Race For The Ring. No body listing that I have seen, but O/S does have a 1968 STP Lotus Turbine in their catalog....mine is metallic red.

JK Products has a new DW12 RTR in several predecorated styles from the 2013/2014 season.
They are sharp looking cars- Thazer Raceway has the RTRs in stock as well as unpainted bodies. Give them a call at (574) 232-2118 if you have questions.
The Chassis is the Cheetah 21 with a Hawk 7 Motor.

Those are some hot looking sexy bodies.
Front wing should make it through one race ... if I'm not driving.

IIRC, JK is only making the bodies in .010" Lexan so they probably will hold up well.
Pattos Place has a large selection of peel and stick vinyl decals for the DW12 for most any team/driver/sponsor combination that you might want.
These are just some examples- there are a huge number more from 2012/2013/2014 seasons available.

That is the trick -- leave the rear fender unpainted and it will keep the rear end more on-the-car...like the Toytech Shelby Can-Am of a few years ago.
Looks like it is a full size 3 1/4" wide pan as well - not just for the indy narrow chassis.

Oops never mind.
the more I look... the more I like these bodies.
Two questions / one comment.
- What are those chassis called?
- Do they handle good?

What really helped the original stamped Indy/dirt modified cars was soldering in the front oilites in the slotted holes.

Do they handle good?
The bone stock one that I took for a spin at Thazer last weekend ran well (for being bone stock). I'm sure with some minor tweaks it will be comparable to other flexi-type chassis with FK power. I'm planning to pick up 1-2? at Thazer next week so we shall see.
A side comment is that I have shown these pics to guys who wouldn't normally consider a lexan bodied car for their fleet and they are showing a lot of interest. At least one person who has as far as I know never raced a lexan bodied car has said he will buy one and try to get a series started in his area (Alabama). Good news any time a product can generate interest from people used to running true scale hardbody cars.

Cool, a 21 Indy chassis. I didn't run in the JK Modified class locally. It died a few weeks after I started going... that was close... to being stuck with 'stuff', haha
Didn't notice the slotted uprights ... I might try a 'spring' if these get local. I suspect letting them 'flop around' won't do much good.
From the link, my first time to the new site and it LOOKS Great!
Should have contacted them to set up obamacare.con
HHS must have used the Flying Lizzards instead

I was told by Dave Geehring that Thazer Raceway in South Bend is running these JK Indys on a regular basis. If you are interested, you may want to give them a call for the details. They have a full stock of RTR's and parts such as the clear bodies.

A friend of mine who has a "house track" recently bought 4 of the JK DW12 RTR's and he and his fellow racers have been having a barrel of fun with them:
Dan Zabowski (above) after turning a 4.814 !!! It's a new track record !!!!!!!

I just want to warn people that the DW12 decals on sale at Patto's Place are unauthorized.
I am the painter of those skins (check out my skinpage at RFCentral https://www.rfactorc...cfm?ID=stex1973) and I've never given any kind of permission to sell my artwork in any form.
It was not at all my intention doing business with these skins and anyone doing it is really disrespectful of my willing.
I ancourage you not to buy any of the DW12 decals from this site because they've been basically robbed to me.
Thanks for understanding.
