Hey all.

I was just wondering if any of you painters out there have used Createx Wicked paints? I'm new to the car painting thing and have been using Createx paints because I like the water base factor for clean-up.

Attached is a car I have done to show what I have been getting with the Createx colors. I have been looking and liking the colors in the Wicked line but know nothing about them. How is clean up, are they water-based? Do they work on Lexan?

There are a lot of great painters and cool pics posted here. I love checking them all out. Keep up the great work and keep the pic's coming.

Any advice is appreciated

Thanks,

Kev

Best bet is race the car and see how it holds up. Did you scuff it up on the inside with steel wool?

wicked air is water based and made by createx as well as the parma fastcolor and auto air..... they have some great colors and they work great..... they also have a reducer that works with all of the above.... been using all three for a long time..... if you like the fascolor you will like the wicked colors.....

I also use water-based paint on my cars(Faskolor, Createx). But it does scratch off easily(yes, I scuff with steel wool). I've been sealing my paint jobs with Krylon glossy clear acrylic spray... works well at sealing the paint and preventing scratches.

I Have not had much of a problem with scratching although i have seen a little on some paint jobs so I have been hitting them hard with a hot hair dryer after paint and then a quick shot of acrylic clear and it does help with the scratching. I have not used steel wool but will keep it in mind if I start to have problems. thanks for info on Wicked,  Faskolor and Auto Air i will be giving them a try

Wicked paint can not be mixed with parma paints it will react. Alligator skin will show up.
I love both paints wicked has a great rang and in my opinion little more resilient .
Let cure by it self for more even outcome hair dryer on low to speed things up a bit.

I was told you can not mix wicked with any other water base as there will be problems. This is the only reason I have not bought wicked. I am using auto air and have had good results and trick colors.

Also don't dry with hot air as the water base does seem to expand crack if heated to fast and I have seen it crack between colors if
One color isn't set and you heat the second color.

Guys,

I have mixed all four, Parma, Createx, Wicked and Auto-Air with no specific problem.

I also use a hair dryer to to dry the color without any problem.

Take a look at this topic: http://slotblog.net/...ed-color-paint/
