I still use a 1977 Thomas Guide Los Angeles & Orange County edition.... 40 years old and I have never had to change a battery! It's battling climate change....

Here's one I should have posted earlier. I took these pictures in 2007. This old Shell station was on old US 40 about a half mile east of the Norwich exit on I 70, east of Zanesville. It was repurposed as a junk dump:
Here's a shot of the remains of the interior:
It has since been demolished, and some of the stuff has ben cleaned up, but I would say 40% of the junk still remains.

Awwww, that's of sad to see.. The interior shot is just heart breaking.. I love the old stations, they way they were set up and displays. In my Dad's he had a glass display cases that was the main counter with a couple different flavors of chewing tobacco, cough drops, Kind Edwards cigars, brown jersery gloves and of course maps among other things..
