What was the old track record?...
299 by Matt last year.
Willy went 298 in Hand-out Coupe, on Friday, before the chutes got real glued up.

Thanks to Mike and Jackie for hosting a great event.
Thanks to Mike and all of his helpers who to the time and effort to reassemble both tracks to the highest standards.
The 'raising' of the King made it much easier to marshall and still kept the speed.
Great seeing everyone this weekend.

Noose was amazing. I fueled him up with Maruga Scorpion chiles to warm those Jooysey winter nights.
Great to see new and old racers and hang out storytelling.

I'm still in shock and getting hit by all of the sharknados that have migrated here but the red seas parted and Noose was cruising at warp speed. It was a sight. If anyone was going to beat me in this race with the fantastic GVP car (thanks, Greg!), I am thrilled that it is Noose.
Destiny has rewarded him for his devotion to Retro and he did drive the race of a lifetime with a true supercar. From the moment he got to the track that car was unbelievable. It made me work until 2 AM trying to find the speed to race him.
Congratulations again my friend, Noose!!

Speaking of the tracks when I got there on Thursday the flat track wiring looked like a sucide bomber had attacked it. Kudos to Swiss for putting in two days of thrashing with little or no sleep to get it up and running for the races on Saturday. Looks like all those late nights at the Nats paid off.
Big Big thanks to Jackie for feeding us a superb lunch for two days with no help, and always with a smile and pleasent conversation, putting up with slot racers like us will look good on her resume when she applies for sainthood!
Thanks to the sponsers Parma, JK Products, Noose Bodies, CHR Chassis, and Sano Dave's sister for lunch and some I can't remember but will all be coverd in Noose's upcoming race report.
Special thanks to Jerry Kulich for coming out for two days. It is always a pleasure to talk to him.
It was good to see all the regulars, especially Sano Dave his attitude is infectious even for a grouch like me, Manta Ray Price always willing to help, John Austin for handing out peppers that are banned in 14 states and parts of Canada , the Howie and Tracy show, big turn-out from Ohio with Greg, Willy, Ross, and moi, KVP not to be cofused with GVP , the Amazin Raisin, Bernie "I go to St. Marteen" Schatz, and all the others who showed up to make some great racing and new friendships.
And now about my neighbor in the pits... we were both not having much luck all weekend. I wasn't sure if it was me or him that was causing it but the answer came Sunday in the Can-Am race. This guy is the busiset guy at the racetrack, helps any and all with info, loaner cars, answers the never-ending question stream, and techs hard but fair. My tech insurance was no good as I got bouced in F1 tech.
So when he won the Ca-Am race on Sunday there wasn't a more deserving guy in the place. Don't know if any video of Swiss jumping across the track to congratulate Noose was made but was priceless.
And Howie in second place was just as happy as if he just won.
Pics at HERE.
Noose will have them captioned in his race report later.

He was geared conservatively (8/25), but ran the steadiest.
Joe was fast, but blew near the end, running 10/26.
There will definitely be a learning curve with these cars.
