After coming across all of your builds, I can only say two things.
1. You are a very, very warped individual.
2. Will you marry me?

Roar, nice build! I had to Google "Rat Trap" to find out whether it was a real car or a figment of your imagination. I found some You Tube videos of it running very strong. It might have run as strong as "Pure Hell."

I really would like to see that museum. My cousin took me to Lions many times. That display brings back memories. Especially
since many of the signs actually came from the old track.

For those who get CarsTV, there is a pretty good show about the Lions Dragstrip Museum, with some good video
taken back in the day. It airs today at 3:30pm and 9:30 pm, CST. (Ch. 280 on AT&T)

VERY "KEWL" car . Looks awesome.
Fuel Altered and Pro Mod are my favorite classes in drag racing. Well,If it adds ANYTHING to this subject,I have had the rare privilege of getting to hang out a bit with both Dale"The Snail" Emery with the Pure Hell car and Al "Mousie" Marcellus with the Winged Express car.(Along with Wild Willie's ashes in the urn, planed squarely in the driver's seat ! lol) I got to talk a bit about fuel tune ups with Dale Emery on a blown car and get to chat about Fuel Altered with Mousie in general while sitting on the tail gate of the VERY 1960's Dodge truck they towed it with all across the USA. I could have talked with them BOTH for hours and never, ever gotten bored in the least !
To me the Fuel Altered class best represents the raw, unbridled all out form of drag racing. A scary, short wheel base car, with a S**T ton of horse power and balls of steel to drive it down the track !!!
(Hope I did not "tromp" all over your thread here ROAR? :/ I just love these altered drag cars. NICE JOB on your slot car renditions of them. )

Sad side note; Petersen Publishing has decided to discontinue printing Hot Rod Delux. I got a letter in the mail that I could not get a
refund on the remaining issues on my subsciption, but I could get it as the e-mag version of Hot Rod instead. I didn't respond. The
photos, which were the highlight of the magazine just don't show as well on a 15 inch screen as they do in print. It looks like Petersen
is going to an all electronic format and ending the print version. I won't be subscribing to any of their offerings.
