I am attaching a copy of the R4/7 tech sheet so you can be prepared to FULLY complete the form. I understand that filling out your tech sheet is often the LAST thing you think about doing on race day and often you are too busy thrashing your car to bother. And I'm not going to mandate you fill in every blank either.

But consider this, new racers, or racers who are considering coming to a future R4, often inspect every posted picture very closely in an effort to better their own racing so when they do come they will feel less like a moving obstacle. The information on your tech sheets about bodies, tires, gear ratios, etc., will be a BIG help to these current or future racers as well as possibly encouraging more manufacture support.

So, I'm asking each one of you to complete the tech sheet as completely as possible. Thank you.

Great tech sheet Mike, but you forgot - Make of the axles - Make of the set screws - Make of the braids - Make of the lead wires -Make of the guide clips - Make of the guide nut - Make of the solder - Make of the flux.  :laugh2: Just screwing with you. Good job. :good: I might be in Columbus on Wednesday, if I am I'll stop in and let you buy me lunch or something. :D

No they can run in one or the other. If they enter the FK class and win then they get a free entry into the PD class event.

So is this for R-4 only,or could another race such as the Sano or Fall Brawl be run with entries in both classes?

No it's been done that way since the list was formed for use at the premier events.

Just wondering the rules exclude the drivers on the list for PD only but is not clear on who all can run PD class. The rule is clear on list drivers at premiere events but doesn't automatically exclude non list drivers. Is it a decision for the race director to make, does it apply only at premier events ?

This list is only for Premier events.  Thus if you are on the list you cannot run the FK Class.  If you are not on the list then you can run either the FK event OR the PD event but not both.  If you win the FK event you will be offered a spot in the PD event.

From my reading of the rules, anyone should be allowed to enter both, so long as they're not on the PD Only list. According to the rules:

"Racers not on that list may enter both GTCFK
and GTC-PD races. The current "GTC-PD Only"
list is available on the IRRATM website."

Some clarification might be needed. I'm just sayin'.

Jim, it is clear in the General Rules.  There is a typo in the GTC Class rules.

In the General Rules it is right.

A "GTC-PD Only" list will be maintained and published by IRRATM stipulating which racers will not be permitted to run in the GTC-FK Class at IRRATMPremier and other large events, based on the racers' previous performances at past events. Please refer to the IRRATM website for the current "GTC-PD Only" drivers list.

  • If a racer wins the GTC-FK class at a Premier event then that racer will be added to the list and can only race in the GTC-PD Class at future Premier events.
  •  Regionally, it is up to the Race/Series Director(s) to determine if they want to allow all racers to run in the GTC-FK class or to run both GTC-FK and GTC-PD classes.

I don't see it, that I could not enter both sides but from the past we had to select only one. also in the past, several, not on the list, have entered the PD side.....

It's still the same.  One r the other unless you are on the PD list then you have to run PD.  In your case you would choose. In Ricky Jr's case, since he is on the list, he runs PD only.

There is a typo in the GTC-PD / FK rules section and it will be corrected. As pointed out above in the General Rules Section it is stated properly.
