As far as I know, no one makes a repro of the Classic Batmobile body.
Reproductions of the Lancer Batmobile body are common, an almost identical body as that of the BZ car.
The chassis shown is correct as far as its design, but the Classic Batmobiles had a BLACK anodized chassis, much darker than the gray shown here that belongs to a Manta Ray. The rear wheels and tires are of course incorrect but it is not too difficult to find the correct wheels and tires.
If you are to make a repro, you would be better off to select a BZ chrome plated chassis on E-Pay as it would be more correct for the available repro body. Electric Dreams sells the correct wheels, tires, and even the Bat Hubs for the car.

A while ago I got some EXACT re-pops of the Classic Batmobile body from a guy in Ackworth Iowa. He used to call himself Vintage Items Heaven or somthin like that, but has surfaced under SEVERAL differnt names since. (Either that or Ackworth Iowa has more vintage slot car stuff than anywhere else in the world other than Scotty's museum)
These were EXACT copies right down to the hard plastic Velocity Stacks, Light Dome Cage, and Turbo Exhaust Ring for the rear. They were Very Thick material. He told me he got them from Dallas Booth when he went outta business. I bought all he had and made several Classic Batmobile Re-pros using the Manta chassis and CM 360 motors.
My Re-pros sold out on epay SUPER FAST. I think I have two left. One of which I might be talked into selling for the right price

He did not get them from Booth, he got them as well as the repro plastic parts from me. We used to make those in the mid-1990s. The parts were cast in white resin and plated by Chrometech.

PM me and we might be able to work somthing out. I don't do HO though.
Dokk...those bodies either came from someone else or U missed the chrome plating on ALL the plastic parts on the ones I got. They were plain white resin and I used chrome paint on them to get that color and finish.

Yeah, that definitely looks like the ones I got. Have you tried to buy from the guy at Booth recently? I bought a bunch of stuff from him a couple years ago and was quite happy with it but I've heard guys have been having problems lately.

I dropped out of the slot car scene for a while. My daughter took over primary interest. With her getting into slot cars it has rekindled my interest. I would love to see Scott or Phllippe reproduce the Classic Batmobile box. Phllippe has always created great reproductions. With their box, my body and injection molded parts we all could have a nice display piece for a resonable amount.

Interesting motor, what size is it,& what does the endbell look like, doesn't look stock mabuchi to me

This is not made by mabuchi. It has an all metal endbell and the motor can is a cylinder.
It fits any chassis that a 36D fits into. The endbell has "Classic" cast into it. I will try to post an image of the endbell.

And strangely enough, Classic wasn't the only one to offer this motor. Here's the same one from another company (maybe the original manufacturer?), which came out towards the end of 1966...

Good one, Don. Does the endbell have any inscription? How are things in France?

I believe I sent you a couple of Russkit 25 look-alikes a few years back.

Yes, I believe you did, and I still have those! I managed to find a "real" Russkit 25 or two in the meantime as well.

This one has "Magnet Motor Corp" embossed in the top part of the endbell, and "Carlstadt, NJ" in the bottom part. In fact, it's a good thing you asked, because I opened the box and found the spec sheet, which is unusually honest for the period:

"The armature is wound with 80 turns of #27 wire for 8 volt performance. This motor will give you the opportunity to become a highly competitive driver in the next race."

Any idea what the Classic is wound with Larry? Looks like the original is held together by two clips, and those tabs were added on your version.

The specs give 28-30,000 rpm at 12 VDC, and 48% effiicency. About 6amps current draw at 15,000 rpm. It came with a 90 day warranty, free repair or replacement with just a 50 cent charge for postage.

The motor came with a plastic adapter to fit over the bearing on the can side, and probably fit into frames made for the 36D.

Don - As for the Russkit 25, a Russkit catalog advertises that the Russkit 25 has the
"Stackpole magnets". Stackpole carbon company , now know as SEI, supplied at least the magnets for it if not the entire motor to Russkit.
The Classic CM550 is rated by Classic at 3 volts. I do not have any further specs on it.
However, I do have access to actual engineering drawings from Globe on the SS101 motor. A number of sheets, for example, one sheet on the armature alone, and another on the whole motor. All specs. Very small print, hard to get a good photocopy, so I should scan them with my HP and upload. Interested? I have two examples of the SS101 motor, one with the sticker, and an unused one with no sticker as my dad and I acquired a load of NOS versitec stuff including the drawings.

I talked to a guy at Globe earlier this year, but he was just able to give me some general history on their slot involvement - he was the only one left who had worked there in 67 or so....

I am surprised that SS101 motors are selling for over $150 on eBay and the 1252 inline chassis for it went for over $300.
