Bob, I live a mile & half from the county fairgrounds, a 4H facility. It's a small country fair with even tractor & truck pulling added recently.

 

It's a Phoenix area restaurant that offers a 10", 3-pattie burger with bacon & lots of other stuff, called "Heart Attack on a Plate." They sell normal size burgers too.

 

Just double checked the map; 10 miles by car less as the crow flies.

We have 4H and in addition to the tractor pulls they have oxen pulls and lawn tractor pulls.

bill, i thought there was a bike powered oval track near hampton beach. rear bike drive wheel with gear ratios may permit faster wheel speeds

There might be now, but I haven't visited Hampton Beach in years. The last time I was there, they had an American Orange on the second floor of the Playland Arcade. At the time, a couple track joints were opened up, so it wasn't usable. Years ago, I won a wing car race on a different track that was down on the first floor.  John Ford ads used to show one of his track layouts at Hampton Beach, but I never saw it there.
