Hi Guys; We are all into vintage slot car racing so why don't we plan a road trip ?
where else but the most vintage place around BUZZ A RAMA in Brooklyn.
We could do a mid day Saturday or Sunday.
Plenty of tracks and you could barther buzz to move some junk around to find something you think you saw or might need.
Kick it around and think about it and I'm sure between Rob and I we can talk to Buzz about a time and a date to make sure he is open for the event.

I was there for a few hours on a Sat about 2-3 weeks ago (I took the subway there) - he's still in business
He's open Sat/Sun only from about 2-6pm.

hey,

I think that as a club, C.A.R.S. must continue to visit other raceways to spread the news of our club's existence. We need to meet and mingle with other enthusiasts for the club to flourish, if that means making travel plans, so be it.
The C.A.R.S. club has enjoyed a prosperous year, we need to continue on this path. As members we've assumed some responsibility as ambassador's for the hobby, that being VINTAGE SLOTS. Racers are a dime a dozen, but those folks who take pride and pleasure in the preservation of antiquities are a breed unto themselves. We strive to find that certain piece of a certain car that will make it right, only to move on to the next project. There are others out there who share our enthusiasum, they need guidance. WE need to guide them to our club !

I talked to Buzz today and he said any saturday 2:00 to 7:00 and Sunday 2:00 to 6:00.
I think we should shoot for after the new year how do you guys feel about that?
I guss we should bring this up at the December meeting.
I'm trying my best to be there for the grab bag. Is it still on?

I agree- after the holidays is best for me, and a Saturday too. not sure which date is the grab bag- anyone know????

By the way, here's the deal for the grab bag:

Any vintage slot car item worth max 20.00. Place in brown paper bag and roll it up. Place your name on the bag.

I'll bring a pillow case. We throw all the stuff in the pillow case and pick one at a time. if you get the bag with your name on it, place it back in the pillow case and pick again.

To determine who picks when, we'll count the guys we have at the meeting, say we have 10 guys. I'll get lil pieces of paper and put 1 through 10 on them, throw them in Rob's hat, jumble it up, and we pick which number we go.

If you have any comments, questions, suggestions, etc post here now. We have a little under 2 weeks.

You're very welcome for the Kellison CD, cool car isn't it ? Sort of a poor man's Cheetah. Any plans for the Kellison body, reproduction maybe ? A sixties style Drag coupe would be sharp, slicks, blower, and a radical rake !

Hi all and happy new year; It looks like I will not be able to make this C.A.R.S 01/03/08 meeting and I'd like for Pete or Glenn to mention to the rest of the guys about the BUZZ-A-RAMA road trip on Jan 20th at or about 2:00 on. He usually stays open till 6;00 or some times later .
I talked to Buzz about this and I will confirm it with him but I just want to make sure it is a go first and I would like to get an Idea of how meany people will be going.
It is about 10 to 15 min off the V Z bridge.

Anyone want to make travel plans? If I can navigate or hitch a ride to a train station I would be most appreciative, my car's tires are rotting and I'm going up the street this Sunday to see what I can do about it (I don't think the Sun Tan lotion will work on the 1/1 tires, Glenn! )
