Bruce,
I found a pair of Cox 5-40 threaded extra narrow front and wide rear Ford GT wheels if you need them.

Rick, thank you for such a tempting offer! They are the most Korrect and perfect wheel for an accurate recreation, but they would also force my whole game up two notches!!!
At this point with time running short and to still keep it fun and simple, I'm fine with using re-pop wheels and inserts on this purely fantasy project.
Current news is the new body is here awaiting fitting, finishing and detailing, with inserts soon to follow.
Perhaps most importantly, a hopped-up Havlicek Russkit 23 motor should be here any day now

Progress report as of 7/12/2014...
Still trying hard to finish the project, and presently working on a few body and interior details while waiting for a vintage guide, braid and gears to come in the mail from a friend in Ca.
I hope to get it completed and shipped early next week, but if it doesn't make it to the show in time, please don't let it hold up the Green Flag.

Thanks Paul, Rick and Pablo!
Been working towards finishing by the 20th, but knew all along there would be some travel time too.
Hope the USPS has their Red Bull first thing Monday
Rick, is there a chance I could ship it direct to the Raceway?

Hi Bruce,
The raceway really has nothing to do with the event. We're just renting their track for the day. To be fair, I think we really need to keep the entry process the same for everyone.
What if you tape the interior in, solder ANY lead wires on, mount the motor, use one of those crown gears shown in your picture and ship it? I can put a Cox or Dynamic Lo Profile guide on it when it arrives.
Would this help?

The plan was to have it ready last week, except my friend sat on his hands a week and didn't mail my goodies until this past Saturday
Need a 7 tooth pinion too so there may just not be enough time, but appreciate your offer.
To make matters worse, my computer died last night so I'm writing this from work. It will be in the shop so I'll be offline for a few days as a result.
I'll try my best but I may have to drop out.
