Thank you guys!
Results of tonights race was that I beat Bob at Dirt Track/Modified's (sealed Slick-7 hand-out motor) by 6 feet only!
Very close race and I didn't fall off ONCE (a personal best).
Go Karts I took second behind Herb by only 2 laps (Hugh knocked me off twice and I fell off only once).
Bob broke a wire so he lost quite a few laps swapping cars but was catching up and only 7 laps behind me.
I LOVE RACING!

True true, I have an RC Rock crawler body and a styrene bodied dragster both masked up to paint so... I'll probably shoot some color before bed.

Well done all around Jairus
Ferrari or not really love the period flake look in the paint too, Metallic Green was a very Hot Kolor in '66 .

Man, that's a little beauty, looks fast just sitting there !
Nice to see something other than ye olde traditional red as well - that's a good choice.
Beautiful work all round as per, thanks for showing.

Took the car to the track again this afternoon. No idea how many laps I ran... but it was a full 45 minutes of testing and adjusting on a clean track with no glue.
Managed to cut the lap time down to 7 seconds flat!
Also learned, the more I restricted the drop arm movement the easier and better it took the corners. At this point the arm hardly moves.
Still some tilting but tons of brakes so diving into the corners is possible in order to plant the nose.
I also played with turning the brakes completely off in order to coast through the turns. That works for the turns... but we have esses on this track and the car did NOT like those with no brakes.
I also wish this car had a guide stop.
Or should I say, I wish we could USE guide stops.

Sounds like a really good handling car Jairus The very limited almost no movement on the drop arm sounds like what PdL was mentioning with the Retro Jaildoor cars they raced.. Finding that with too much movement the cars would behave badly, almost no drop arm movement the car would handle well.

Pretty much perfect testing session, you should have that car well dialed in before the Proxy event......
