I practiced last night at The Raceway in Melbourne, FL - only me and Bill P were there.

After shaving my 5.2 down to 4.5 with a new body and GT1 chassis tweak by Bill, I noticed a Hoffman-looking box on the top shelf over the bodies display behind the drag track. Although not the real mccoy, I sure like the beat up, well-used, stickered, oil and ink spilled inside look! WooHooo!  American Pickers would call it Jenky!  (K&B car caddy is my controller box. Versus my previous huge drag car box, I lost 15 pounds and 6-10 inches around the middle. Hahahaha...)

I call BS on the last part... your box lost them pounds and inches, not you... LOL!

If you like that box, you'll love my two 47-year-old non-Hoffman slot boxes. I'll snap a couple pics and post them when it stops raining here...

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

Cool - anyone have info or pics on a Mr. Sawdust Box? I got eleven cars in there, tools in the twelvth and largest car comparmentt conveniently top left. Under the trays fits a lot of stuff, too - solder equip, test block, gears, axles, motors, digital caliper, scale, and more. I love it!

Your box is a nice find Charlie. One of mine is a Hoffman, but I find it's compartments to be too small to hold contemporary 1/24 slot cars. I either have to remove the body then put it in the large compartment underneath the trays or else put the complete car down there. It's not convenient for carrying multiple race cars, & I don't. I've always said I'm going to build a slightly bigger box, but I haven't yet. :to_become_senile:

I’m reasonably sure that box is a Webster.

I saw it at Bill's... nice box at a good price, too.

It was extremely difficult to walk past it when I first spotted it.

Glad you got it, Charlie. Enjoy!

Modern cars fit great in this one, Bill. Thanks for passing it by, Bob; your Hoffman is nice!

George - that's it! - I am now convinced it is a Webster.  :victory:  :good:

Carried all my stuff with ease, love the fold-down worktable!
