Dunno if this short clip is cut from the 1965 movie "Redline 7000" or is an outtake, but the word is that Junior Johnson is doing the driving. Main reason to watch is for the glorious sound of that 427 FE engine...

 

 

The guy in white waving Junior into the pits is almost certainly George Takei in his pre-Star Trek days.

I sure miss this race track. We used to go every Sunday night for Hobby Stock and Bomber car racing. 
 
Occasionally, a Thursday evening for USAC Midgets.
