Tape the drop arm solid, squirt some glue into the hinge to keep it from moving. Glue some "L" bits from the motor to the axle carrier to reinforce the aluminum. Stabilize the guide and add about 5 gms of weight

Yes I agree !... Anyway I would like to get a few of these Russkit Porsche 906 Bodies for painting...anyone out there know of someone doing a Repop body-?-Thanks...
Porsche Carrera by JK Part Number 1903 is the only one that I know of. Sunset / Alpha has one but it may be very, very rare to find.
Part number 482.

Neither is even close to the beauty of the original.
But they are the only ones available

......Did anyone race these cars back in the day? ....
Back in the day? We race them now. Although most of our vinatge racers can't abide vac bodies (not me...I love em), we do race the russkits as they are so good loking. The major vintage races here are annual events in Melbourne and Adelaide. We started racing russkits and Cox Isos together a couple of years ago but split the Russkits out into a separate event because the Cucs were just too fast.
There's a full race report for 2006 here? but be warned: it's 8mb.
We race on a ferodor painted track with no glue and natural rubber tyres. Something like a Johnson 222 is about all the power the tyres can handle and works really well in the Russkits.
