Here's a couple of nicely done amateur videos produced by Mitch Taylor, an Aussie who imported a 1925 Model T touring car in 2011.

Starting and driving a Ford Model T is a much more complicated endeavor than driving a modern car and I'm betting there are a lot of Slotblog members who are unaware of the process.

Perhaps even some of the old timers here have forgotten the drill. That was the case in 1970, when I had to remind the late Tennessee Ernie Ford how to drive the 1915 Model T roadster I had brought to a TV special being filmed at Opryland. "I used to know how to do this," he told me.

Enjoy!

Mitch Taylor runs a very informative Model T website, if anyone is interested in learning more about these iconic cars.

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

I am reminded of the British Top Gear episode where Clarkson and Hammond were in Monte Carlo and were trying to drive a Model T to the casino.

That show makes me laugh out loud... sort of Monty Python-ish.

The American version has its moments as well.
