The Cozine Arco Classic race will be held on January 16-17 at SpeedZone Raceway in Peachtree City, GA. This race will commemorate the late Bob Cozine of Team Champion fame. Greg Wells and I had the privilege of racing with Bob at Ray Gardner's track in Decatur, GA, back in the early '90s, as well as at selected races in later years at other tracks in Georgia. If I had to sum up Bob in one word it would be INTENSE. I can only imagine how he was in the '60s and '70s during the Team Champion era.
We will also have Bob Rule, of BoLink R/C fame and a previous owner of Champion, in attendance. He will have a presentation of Champion of Chamblee products which will include the championship trophy from the 1967 Arco 33 race in Columbus, OH, that Bob Cozine won.
The racetrack will open Friday, Jan. 16, at 10 AM All races will be held on the Gerding King, with the first race (Group 7-68) opening tech at 6 PM. Saturday, the track will open at 8 AM, with tech opening for both F1 and Can-Am at 10 AM.
All classes will use the Pro Slot FK motors. We will also be using hand-out tires - JK Big Boys treated.
If you have any questions, I can be reached via Slotblog PM or barneschrisl@comcast.net.
I hope to see you there!

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

What ruleset(s) will F1 and Can-Am be run under? I would assume IRRA, but just making sure.....

That would be real helpful if not for the fact there are, what, almost half a dozen Retro rulesets?
