Cry like a baby, drive like a girl, walk like a man.
Give me enough rope and I'll build a fast car... or hang myself?

Grats to Earl for his fantastic Chaparral!
And, Al Thurman, that chassis... gotta know how that came about!? VERY interesting!

Al's unique chassis was actually an inspiration for several "perimeter" style cars I made after seeing it at the Checkpoint in 2013. This one, with a little weight securely taped to the rear box sections ran extremely well and qualified sixth at this year's Festival of Speed but the motor slowed in the race. Very simple but effective!

B Main racers: Howie Ursaner, Duran Trujillo, Don Campbell, Tebu, Gary Donahoe, Ryu, Bryan Warmack, Alex Freund. No, this is not the A Main!
B Main results. An absolutely brilliant slot car race! I can't imagine a faster or more trouble-free race and I am sure the overall lap total of the eight drivers must be a BPR record!
Duran slowly pulled away and Alex stayed close but the race for third went down to the last lap. Tebu and Bryan both qualified at the exact same time of 3.956 and when the power went off they were still just about as close with Don just feet behind! Great race Tebu and Don! Duran tied his own track record of 346 laps, which stood for about an hour!
B Main podium
1st - Duran Trujillo
2nd - Alex Freund
3rd - Tebu
A Main racers: Duran Trujillo, Sam Rackham, Yuji, Ben Cervantes Sr, Jerry Johnson, Alex Freund, Mark McVittie, TJ Albu.
A Main results. Duran just kept rolling and coasted to an easy win as most everyone else ran into some little problem or another. Congrats. Duran. and great run. Sam and Alex! Duran broke his own lap record total of 346 with 349.
A Main podium
1st - Duran Trujillo
2nd - Sam Rackham
3rd - Alex Freund
