Were some cars running SCRRA illegal motors?

Sadly, three racers who qualified into the A Main were suspected of running tampered-with motors.
One of the suspects had his rocket motor checked the following day during F1 practice, and it was clearly tampered with.

I sure hope this isn't true, and if it is I hope the practice doesn't spread.
I already tend to stay away from PD races because of the tampered-with motors in use and don't want the same thing to happen with the RH races.

Proud to drive an American car, from an American manufacturer, assembled by American workers.
I own a car from each of the big three: I have a Ford, a Mercury, and a Lincoln.

Raisin,
It was easily spotted on Sunday morning.
The three that were suspected of cheating on Saturday didn't podium, so their cars weren't checked postrace.

Yeah but they shouldn't have been in the A Main to begin with, denying the spots to other legit racers.
Maybe we need to check the A Mainers before the A Main or after qualifying or postrace. Particularly at big races.

Bill,
Bryan is well aware of the consequences of the SCRRA style of teching and I'm sure changes are on the way.
I just feel bad with all the hard work Bryan puts in, at and especially after the races, making sure everyone gets the notoriety they deserve, that as a thanks, a few choose to crap on him.

Unfortunate and disgraceful. People need to respect their fellow racers. No win is worth the stain of cheating. While I know you can't name names the people who didn't make the podium will now have a cloud over them guilty or not. This is what cheating does.

Hey Tex! I am an old wing car racer, and I went with what I sort of know. I am hardheaded and insist on struggling with my own car versus going the easy route and buying someone else's car. I built these as dedicated BP cars as it is the only place I race anymore. It is a bit far so I just do not get much track time and when I go over there I like to go to the beach too! There is no place to run these cars here in AZ. No beach either.
My next cars will be like the one Brian posted but with tuning fork inside rails. May try the inside the donut ,right side weight like on Vitters car.
Thanks to Debbie and the staff of BPR for hosting this fine event!
Also Thanks to you guys ,John, Mill, Alex, Brian of SCCRA for staging this great race!

Al,
I have been playing with this with many different chassis. It helps thru the donut, but you must be careful that it does not hurt you on the lead on
