Unfortunately the hotels in the area are still unwilling to do anything more than token discounts due to high corporate bookings and very low vacancy. The managers of three of the hotels told me you could score a better rate with AAA or AARP and several other discount programs since the home office has already negotiated those discounts. The local management doesn't have that option. I guess early March is becoming very popular in Columbus for conventions/training meetings, etc.
