Was the 'mailbox' size limit reduced to 300 messages?

Yes, it was, a few months ago IIRC.

The database at Slotblog is getting bigger, though there's still a lot of headroom at present. Call it a preemptive strike.

From the messages I have... it is showing that the change to my PM box was after May 11.

The best answer I have: It is right now.

 

It filled up regularly at 500 so I guess it is more of a record keeping/housekeeping issue. I was (am) sitting at 495 PM's on/since May 11*, on or about the time the change effected my mail box.

 

300 would be the same deal...

 

You know, more IS more.

Bob, do you talk a lot or do you just save every PM you send & receive? How do you have them organized so you can look back & find something you want should you ever have the need? I have less than two dozen, including some from Rocky Russo, saved & I sometimes have a problem finding what I want among them. If I determine a PM is important to retain, I copy it into WORD which is better organized & delete the PM to free up space here.

I listen more than talk and of course I delete many.

If I have to copy and save them in Word then I might as well stick with email.

 

Some guys just keep one message volley active and then add/or reply to the original. Even some of those are getting long but it works the best for me.

Some guys like to start a new thread for everything and that's where 300 is not enough IMO.

 

If anyone has an active PM thread with me please use that, otherwise if you want to 'shout' at me use the email address in my signature.

Just email the important ones to yourself, and store them on your computer instead of Slotblog's. That's what I do.
