Some raceways are carrying it. I think Mike Swiss does and Hudson Valley Raceway, too.
McMaster-Carr is the source we originally got it from.

Some guys swear it makes a difference; I can't tell.
That being said, I bought two rolls of the stuff so all my cars have it anyway LOL If nothing else I match everyone else LOL.

On the rails it takes some springiness out; on pans it acts as a substitute for lead in some cases and sure sticks better.

Lead sticks good. When you use solder. LOL.

I never had a problem in the days when we used rubber cement. Some of that lead is still stuck on my chassis some 35-40 years later.
I intend to live forever! So far, so good.

I've been using the Scotch double-sided tape for holding on the lead weight.
Haven't tried the damping tape, although I'd be willing to give it a try on one chassis in particular.

Lucky Bobs lead sticks like iron and is way better value than any other out there. S7 adhesive has been awful, I had to add good tape to it, to get it to stay on.....

Did the testing on our home track, we found no difference in handling or lap times with the dampening tape. But it does work very well to hold lead in place. Nice placebo, feel good piece if you like orange or red buy it.

What I've been using, and it doesn't require any additional adhesive is the lead from Professor Motor. It sticks with no issue and the adhesive used is very strong, much better than anything else I've tried.
Keeping on subject, I use the anti-vibration tape and find it helps on F1 chassis a lot, keeping corner chatter to a minimum.
