New raceway coming to FL West Coast

West coast racers, it's time to start getting those slot cars and trigger fingers ready to race once again.

After a very long time with nowhere to run slot cars in the Tampa Bay area, a new slot car raceway with 3,300 sq ft will be opening next month in Pinellas Park, FL.

Fast Eddie's Slot Cars & Raceway LLC will open in August with a scale 1,000' drag strip along with a 130' tri-oval and a road course track that will be identified and added to the facility very soon so keep posted.

The raceway will be located at 5609 70th Ave North, Pinellas Park, FL.

Stay tune for more information and progress on the raceway.

LM to PP varies depending on the I-4 / I-275 drive time... non-rush times - maybe 2:15 (nonstop travelling safely).

 

Ed, you gonna pick up any MySeries 2015 races?

I guess SCR in Rohnert Park is under the one pee limit for me. That's as long as I don't stop at A&W for a large Root Beer.

Now if we can get a track in the Ft Myers area the Gulf Coast will be at least reasonable for slot cars.

The interior is starting to come together at the raceway and you can now follow progress and updates also on Facebook at Fast Eddie's Slot Cars & Raceway, LLC.

 

I do not think this unit has seen a cleaning or paint in the last 20 years and it has taken a lot of hard work by many to get to this point. Special thanks to my wife Elaine & son John, Corky, James, Mark, Ski, Big Mike, Rapid Rick.

 

Today we will be setting up and positioning the tri-oval and drag strip.
