This was on auction and can still be viewed by clicking "see original listing". The chassis looks like it is from a Pactra dunebuggy. Does anyone know if it is a genuine Lancer RTR or not? This is not like the Lancer chassis we have seen here on this site.

I don't know about the chassis, but the actual body is a Mirage, not a McLaren M6A as the label says.

Lancer didn't make that version of the Mirage... could very well be a Dynamic. I love the paint job!

Beautiful car! Could it be a case of wrong car, wrong box kinda thing?

The chassis looks like a Pactra or Competition one perhaps.

Rick hit the nail on the head with loving that paint job. :D

With an airbrush, you too, could do that paint job. :good: My first airbrushed body in 1970 was white with black, green, pink, and purple fogging. The paint used was Testors TCL.

The paint job looks VERY similar to several Bob Kovacs production bodies I have. The injector detail is identical.

Definitely a Pactra chassis...and I am glad to see another one with 5 outer rails...the rails between the F. and R. tires...body mount rails...whatever ya call 'em...

That's the Pactra chassis that Dokk told me didn't exist... ;) :)

The Pactra Dune Buggy chassis is supposed to be genuinely (not "ebay rare") rare...but has 4 outer rails on each side.

There is discussion of this in a thread about the Dune Buggy (buggies) RTR's etc. made by various manufacturers.

I have one with 5 rails and Dokk told me that the 5th or outer rails were owner added at a later date....but the outer, 5th rails sure look factory original on this chassis as do the ones on mine.

Just another one of those great mysteries of life, huh?

Tom, either Dokk was wrong, or we didn't actually see what we thought we did!  :laugh2:  We know what the answer is. :) Shall we expect another delay of his forthcoming book to reflect this change?

I would never say Dokk was wrong...(I don't want my legs broken... :shok: :laugh2: )

Maybe just added to an addendum page sometime in the future...after we all get our copies... :D

Hi Dokk! :good: :victory:
