A thing or two about Thingies

the Supreme, Sidereal, Almighty Thingie Kingie is back with another outstanding toy to warm up this long forgotten thread!
A truly beautiful creation by our friend Mike “32Deuce” Zimmermann, the UFO 12!
Mike's design seems to come out straight from one of the most stunning movie ever made, Metropolis (1927) by Fritz Lang,
and off course the UFO 12 would look great cafe racing around Gotham City too:
Now you gentlemen are wondering what’s under that magnificent delight, right?
Well, nothing less than a Bob “endbelldrive” Suzuki’s hyper jaildoor chassis:
Motor, judging by the arm’s balancing holes, might be a Mura 16D (where is the Infallible Mr.Pea when you need him?) and the wheels are Kai’s inspired by antique U-Go’s:
... let’s chant all together:
He has white horses
And ladies by the score
All dressed in satin
And waiting by the door
Oooh, what a lucky man he is
Oooh, what a lucky man he is
a new toy he has!

Probably my favorite Thingie body of all time atop a "maximum security" (lots of bars) Jail Door chassis.

to underline the Renaissance of the Thingie Forum on Slotforum (which has been betrayed by many in favor of Slotblog- BTW the guilty ones will be punished sternly) it seemed to me that the best way was to homage Larry "Ls" Shepard, who is no longer with us, but who left a mark all over both forums with his wonderful scratchbuilt cars.
Some of you old timers might remember the SuperCukaluk Larry built for me back in 2007, see here the whole story:
Larry speaks
And now once again here it is, this time on my wooden track which really honors this wonderful fast car:
The inside with the monster Mura C-can:
Once again so you can see the car in detail:
Thanks again Larry wherever you are!

As for SF, if I was given moderating ability of even my own posts I would have made that forum the center of the Dynamic Proxy. But it was not so... so here is easier for me.
I suggest you maybe consider hosting the 2013 Proxy from your throne? "Build it and they will come!"

I'm pretty sure that article has already been posted, perhaps by Edo, either here or on SlotForum. Have you tried a search?
If not, I can post it...
There was another article or two on Thingies like this, but not a lot - most writers were anti-Thingie, except of course Floyd "Thingie Man" Manley!

Bob, not that I want to be rude or anything like that but the very article you mention is at the very beginning of this thread!
Perhaps the size is a bit small for a comfortable reading but it's there.
Anyway, I've just found bigger scans, I hope they're ok to read:

And if the picture's not big enough, press Ctrl and turn the wheel on your mouse... (maybe everybody already knows that, but I just learned a couple years ago...).
Go Gene...!

Open eyes, then mouth.
Rude is the American way. I'd nit?
Are we blessed with any of these young gents . . . . still on board with us?
Thanks "E"

Thanks for posting the pics.
I like that that they used "sanitary" in one of the descriptions vs. "sano".

If you look at the caption on the last page, the "Eldon's dirty old record breaker" referred to is our own Eldon "Gene" Adams, still living in the Detroit area, (can't remember the exact user name offhand), who occasionally posts here, pulls bodies and builds fabulous chassis...

Dokk,
Like . . since the world is coming to an end or, like, the men in black will take it anyway ... can, like, that whole "silver platter" go on epay?
Or is the thought, like, "one at a time"?
