RetroPalooza 7

June 2-5, Ronkonkoma, NY

The IRRA® Permier Event annual meeting of the families will be taking place on Lawnguyland at the world famous PJ Raceway from Thursday June 2 through Sunday, June 5, 2016.

The reigning don, Big Don Pickles Eric Gehrken, will look to see if he can maintain control of this voracious crowd of hooligans. We are not sure if the underboss, Gary "Hip Hop" Clinton Jr., will be present since he is now part of the "relocation crew" and is working to gain control in FL.

We expect that the consigliere, and former Don, Matt "Handsome" Bruce will be there to keep things under control if necessary.

Word has it many more "families" are expected this year, adding an International air to this event.

More details will follow of course regarding sponsorship opportunities and other minutia that youse will need to know.

Here is the schedule. All races will be run on the King.

Thursday, June 2

Can-Am Plus

RetroPro

Friday, June 3

GTC-FK then GTC-Pro - both hand-out Hawk Retro motors

Stock Car

Saturday, June 4

Can-Am

Sunday, June 5

Formula 1

This is an event you cannot miss.

This is going to be my fouth challenge at RetroPalooza but the first time for the other racers, for whom this race will be their first IRRA®/Retro East race.

How excited!!

Any reasonable price motels around there?

Depends on your definition of reasonable. :)

I would check with Doug at PJ since he hosts a lot of races with traveling racers.

Unfortunately, Ryu cannot join us this time. A Team Tokyo racer may join us from California.

Kamo has developped new Can-Am for RP. GTC and Stock Car chassis will be based on this Can-Am.

As for F1, we will be testing a new DIO IRRA® version soon.

Some of us have stayed at the Ramada Plaza Holtsville Long Island in the past, it's a decent hotel with a bar attached so you can have a few drinks and not have to drive.   :pardon:

The only downside of that is the parking lot gets pretty full in the early evening.

You can also check Trip Advisor for reviews of hotels in the area to see which ones are decent.

I used Expedia to book a room this weekend at Port Jeff. Was $65 a night and less than 10 miles from the track... very reasonable and nice accommodations.

Always a pleasure racing at PJ!!! Doug is a great hostess... LOL.

Well... unfortunately I'm not going to be able to make it like I originally planned, but I will be in attendance for this year's 6-hr enduro.

Good luck to all the racers traveling from near and far.

Noose, if Mr. Kottair did not fall for the Epstein Doctor's note do you think it would work with anyone else?
