For those traveling to Port Jeff for Retropaloosa, especially our international guests.

Be aware that the roads in the general area have cameras at stop lights, etc. At 6 a.m, when you are sitting at a light for 5 minutes, don't think "No one is around, and blow the light. Two weeks later you will receive a beautiful picture of your vehicle/license plate along with an $118 fine. Please do not ask how I obtained this information.

You should do some research on how to beat a camera ticket. Unless they have a pic of the driver you can beat it.

Nope the ticket is on the car not the driver. It's not a moving violation, so they don't care who was driving.

Good tip, Rich. These red light cameras have popped up all over here on Long Island. In Nassau County they are very prolific. There are also speed cameras around schools in NYC.
 
We would rather see visiting racers spend their money at our raceways than give it to our traffic enforcement agencies and to the private companies running these cameras.

Use the app Waze, it's free and it will tell you if there a red light camera coming up. Just remember if the light is red you can make a right but you must stop for three seconds then proceed. If you don't you still can get a ticket at a red light camera, just ask my wife.

type modifieds and support divisions.(1/4 mile bullring, but fast!) Good show for small $$, just 30 minutes from

Port Jeff down I 495. Show is over by 11, in time to get to bed for an early rise Sunday.

Sat will have added features due to two earlier rain-outs so get there early. Click on standard view schedule top of page. Spectator drag is always a show. Saw a guy stuff his brand new Trans-Am into the turn 3 wall once. The Blunderbusts are all big cars, Impalas, Lincolns, Cadillacs, too. The Trucks are my favorite.

Fun weekend, had some good finishes, have two controllers that need repair LOL. Lots of great people, and the Wounded Warrior raffle was another overwhelming success.  

Congrats to Chubby on becoming the new "Don," Eric on being in contention for repeating, and Timmy Skurka for his third place in overall points... he just plain dominated the F1 race!

 

Nice to meet Steve Kempson from England and the Retro Tokyo crew, who dominated Can-Am Plus.
