Thanks, Rod.

Wait until you see what I post over the next couple of days. I took some amazing pics during the F1 Final, but since we have to drive all day tomorrow to get back home, we've been up since 6:30 AM, and I've had a few adult beverages... the eyes are starting to lose focus...

The R4/9 was the best R4 so far IMO and knowing the McMasters, I have no doubt that R4/10 will improve on the high standard that the event has already achieved.

Big thanks to Mike and Cindy for an excellent race over three days. Additionally, thanks to the ladies who helped serve the food to all of the chow-hounds (me being the biggest chow-hound). I had an great time racing, learning and eating. Thanks to Boogie for his help all through the race and Rick Starkey for saving my F1 from a sure wall shot going into the 90 when I was a rider.

Great friends, great racing and great food. What more can one ask for?

Just to keep this thread going might as well make the thank-yous here also.

First and foremost the McMasters family of Cindy, Jessica, Avery, Mike, and Kyle we owe a huge debt of gratitude for putting on this event each year. It is a huge undertaking in time, effort, and money to make happen. They make it look easy but it isn't.

Eric Balicki, Rick Starkey, Jim Leezer, and Mike Denny also make large contributions to the smooth operation,it wouldn't be the same without them.

Not enough thanks for the ladies who help keep the monster fed either, Tina, Sharon Bruce, Mrs. Denny, and all the others that kept the good food coming. Thanks again.

All the sponsors like Boogie Bodies, R-Geo Products, Alpha, Noose Custom Bodies, and all the others that I am sure Mike will list. Thanks.

A special thanks to Parma products and most importantly Steve Koepp for the sponsorship and the painting seminar where 30 lucky racers got a custom paint job by the master. Thanks to Earl Graybill for keeping the airbrushes clean during the seminar.

Thanks to Noose for the tech work and Greg Wells for the internet reporting.

Pics HERE.

I want to thank Eric Linsley for the awesome job turn marshaling. He volunteered to marshal in many of the races during the weekend. One of, if not the, best turn marshal I ever met.

Thank you to all the racers that came out to have some fun with us here in Columbus. Hope you see everyone next year.

The more turn marshals there are during the race the less track calls. Just trying to help out the best I could.

By far one of the best and most concentrated marshals I've seen.

Good job, dude! And thanks!!

Absolutely the best. I was marshaling the donut and he was on the donut side of the bridge. He caught a car in mid-air. Great job!

Best turn marshal I have ever raced with. I would drive harder in his turn because I knew he would keep my car safe.

Thanks, Eric!

I told Eric at least twice how impressed I was with his marshaling and promised to post saying so, but you guys beat me to it. Fourteen hours on the road today and I ain't gonna try posting from phone...

I second (and third and fourth...) all the sentiments about Eric. Bravo!

Marshaling a big race brings it's own pressure and is not easy to do.

OK, 'bout outta pics.

Here's one I really like.

If you had to describe the image with one word, what would it be?

Mine might be 'voluptuous', as this 'Grand Old Lady' (yes, it's a 'King"...) is seemingly aglow from the attention she's receiving from her slot racing suitors. Modern tracks don't look this, well... sexy.

Great race coverage!

Congrats to Cap and Willy on their wins, as well as my Retro Eastboys doing great!

This seems like a race i don't want to miss any more. I will do my best to make the next one.

So what do we have to do to get Willy and Cap to Come to RetroPalooza At Port Jeff? :) Even though I've never spoke to them, they seem like great racers and I would like to race against them.

Thanks,

Chubby

I wouldn't mind coming to Palooza.

I'm pretty sure Cap has big car stuff going on then... I see you're fast out there, Chubby.

I raced against you one year at Fall Brawl in RetroPro, Chubby, you impressed me! LOL.

I can typically only run the late fall, winter, and early spring races; summer is sprint car season, and my income LOL.
