Rules specify that front and rear wheels must be at least .75 inches in diameter. Most of the guys use .75 O-ring front tires and begin with .790 inch rear tires. For local races we do not enforce the .75 inch rule for rear tires and run them down until they are no longer usable, so in the photos some of the cars may have smaller than .75 rears.
Personally, I prefer a more scale look and for racing at my track, Electron Raceway, we use 15/16 fronts (no O-rings) and 1 inch rears on GT1, Trans-Am and Sports cars. On Can-Am and small endurance cars (Gran Sport Class) we allow front tires .85 fronts and .925 rears. We also specify a Scholer, Plafit or Slotting Plus chassis for all of our clases. Below is an image of my True Scale Sports Car and the Scholer Chassis it sits on. The side and front pans are custom cut and do not come with the chassis. The addition of pans improved handling greatly on our tight tracks. Quite a different look!
