Hello all. I hope I am posting in right are. Maybe in the history section. Just thought you might enjoy some pics of a box of cars I picked up from a great lady who told me her dad raced in the Chillicothe are of Ohio. Promised her they would be in safe hands and not on eBay. They aren't pro cars but look like they had some track time.

I'm pretty sure these are cars from the mid-sixties. Probably mostly Dynamic chassis based cars and interesting to note that they appear to have silicon rear tires.  It would be even more interesting to see the bottom of the cars but thanks for posting.

Classic Super Asp (gold car) and #24 Pactra RTR of Hill's '66 Indy Car. The red and gold controllers are Slotmaster "transistor" controller.  The black controller is a Cox.

Jay Guard is correct the cars controllers are from mid-to-late '60s.

I had a red Slotmaster controller in 1967-68. It wasn't transistorized but I think the black and gold ones were. I didn't buy it new, but I forget what I swapped for it. If memory is right, the transistor models were about $25 back then.

Jim, as Jay said, could you show us photos of the chassis and motors of these cars? Some of us would find pictures of the slot box they're in interesting, too. You got a nice collection of vintage cars that have seen some track time. When I began commercial slot racing, all the raceways in the area mandated the use of silicone rear tires, so I'm somewhat familiar racing on them. Tracks have to be squeeky clean and they don't mix well with other types of tires.

Nice clean collection, and pretty typical for the times.

Yes, I also would like to see some photos of the chassis, and the pit box please.

The box has only one Gar-Vic sticker. I guess the guy wasn't into stickers!! :)

The orange/white Lotus, Cox 2D, and '32 Ford coupe have standard Cox motor/chassis. Blue/white Lotus has aftermarket(?) or? chassis. Classic Asp has original chassis and Testors F1 has correct chassis. The Monogram midjet has brass chassis original.

All cars have silicone tires but there is a bunch other sets of tires I assume for another track/tracks.

Wilson box?? or Hoffman. The Red Ball special does not have the correct Pactra brass tube chassis. Somewhere it was lost and the Testors chassis replaced it.

And a Wilson box.

Charlie, what's a Wilson box? I've never heard of them. Are they someone who built boxes for the then Southeast market?

That box looks like my Hoffman box,  but it has two clasps on the front holding the lid and front panel in place. Neither one of mine is lockable like that on Jim's box.

Nice to know on the Testors F1 It is the only one I have had.

If anyone wants to see a particular car by itself I could pull body loose to show chassis motor better view.

Upon closer inspection, handle and clasp are different. Looks like a home made copy of Webster box. (CRS!)

Not a Hoffman, but sweet!
