Robert and Mike,

Thank you for responding. I only wish it were under better circumstances.

I want to apologize for any negative perceptions I may have caused or unintentionally given others an opportunity to cause.

My arrival on Friday evening around 7 PM must have been only minutes after your employee left. Literally minutes.

On Saturday evening probably between 5 and 6 PM, I called both phone numbers, several times. At first I made the mistake of not using the area code, thinking that because I was dialing from within area 609, I would not need it. Wrong; my fault.

Later I called both numbers again, this time using the area code, and got a busy signal at 609-702-0146 (on three separate calls several minutes apart) and an answering service at 609-702-1500 who claimed to know nothing about you.

By then I was simply frustrated. I knew I might be able to get an answer by asking about it on the blog. So, I did. But it was just a question; I was only looking for information.

At first, I did get some informative replies, and thanked the responders for their help. I thought that was the end of it, but again I was wrong.

To my chagrin, I have discovered once again that asking for information on Slotblog inevitably comes with the risk of having it turn into a bona fide circus (which it clearly did), and I probably should have kept that in mind.

Next time we travel to the Mount Holly area I will bring my cars and make a point of stopping by, but not without calling first, using the area code, getting you on the phone, and staying off the blog about it… except to repeat what you have told me:

"SpeedZone Raceway & Hobbies, home of the Jersey Devil is just fine and is not going anywhere. Mike Iles loves this hobby and will keep it going."
