John was very instrumental in getting retro racing started in New England. John & his son Jonathan used to have, maybe still does, one of the mini coupe race cars.,

We  had a nice test night @ Genn Gordon's last Saturday. John sent Russ Upton a car just like the one pictured.  Glenn drove it and it ran as good as it looked.

Highest of kudos for the excellent workmanship! I am an admirer!

 

The neo magnets would make these gravity cars the most fun to drive!

 

Car Model magazine featured an angle-winder build back when I was a kid and I was hooked into scratch-building these.

 

The Nats are going to be in Denver next summer - I hope to meet you again if you are coming.
