Looks great!
Nobody paints in "livery" these days unless it's a track rule.
Water base or ...?

I prefer your color scheme to this livery from 2007.

Great work for your first one.  No apologies necessary either for your choice of colors.  You do what pleases you.

Looks Great!!  I like to round off the point behind the rear tires so the body can't get caught by the spinning tire! :)

Thanks, guys.  Body paint is Parma Faskolor (water based), driver is artist acrylics, chrome stripes are Prostripe automotive striping tape, and reinforcement is PFTE coated fiberglass tape from McMaster-Carr.

McMaster also has a very good assortment of PFTE tapes from .001 to .007" with various backings, I'm thinking these might also be good for bottom of chassis and pan adjustments.

Nice. Keep it up. Don't be afraid to try different stuff. Not everybody can tell you messed a job up. Had a couple that people thought were done on purpose and they really liked them.

Second attempt.  Don't like Faskolor, can't get flow or coverage.  Just ordered some Createx and a new airbrush.

Createx makes Faskolor as well as several other types of acrylic paints under their own label.. Some of the Faskolor will seem to have more pigment than the same color Createx, but both have always worked for me.

I was having problems until I realized I was trying to airbrush with an antique compressor with too little air pressure. New compressor fixed all my problems with Faskolor/Createx since they are the same - tho some have observed different pigment concentrations. I don't have enough experience to make that kind of evaluation. Note the air pressure recommended: 40 psi. I have been using Golden air brush Medium to dilute my Faskolor/Createx paints. This helps a lot to get things flowing correctly. Highly recommended.

Mark, Golden's acrylic paint works well on lexan. They sent me a sample bottle of dark green & it sticks to lexan like a gorilla. It's highly scratch resistant too. Golden is a NY company, but it isn't available in the local art supply stores.
