I am pleased to announce my new stock car chassis kit, the "Stalker."

With the exception of the center weight, all brass is .064" half hard. The nose is slotted to accept double rails of .062" wire. The motor bracket has a 2* angle.  Other details are in the photos below and as you will notice there is a lot of detail in this kit. This is a copy of the design I have been running now for over a year with great success and copied for many New England racers.

Retail price will be $65 with discounts to raceways available. I have a limited number of these available currently but will have more towards the end of next week.

Will you be selling any built-up chassis?

What a beautiful kit you are producing.

With all those nice laser cuts or millings, has this kit been IRRA® approved?

The way I read the Stock Car rules section C item 2 this kit looks perfectly legal. Perhaps Tony P could comment further?

Hi Dennis,

Yes, I will have some built-up kits probably in about 2-3 weeks. I'll have them available with and without the rear pan stops. The version I tried without the rear pan stops was about 2 grams lighter and actually a tick faster through the back half of the freshly-rebraided King at Modelville Hobby using the same tires and body. The rear stops work well on flatter style tracks which is what we mostly have here in New England.

Cap, the bracket weighs in at 6.0 grams. It's obviously heavier than anything else out there but it will also reduce any weight that would normally need to be added to the pans for grip or balance. Even with my original version I could not punch the donut on the king and I could with this version with the exception of red and white.

Joe, the pieces are all milled out. I was going to have a spring steel tongue with the kit but after about 8 cut we destroyed the end mill bit. IRRA® no longer approves chassis kits. Any machined parts must be commercially available. If I was to keep this to myself the chassis would not be available.

That's just plain beautiful!  Very "crisp" looking.

So will the motor bracket be available seperately?  Great looking chassis.....

Hi Don, the bracket will not be sold separately at this time. However, if there is enough interest it is something I am willing to offer. I think the current bracket would be a little heavy for a Can Am or F1 but it may be something I'll have to experiment with.

Also I forgot to include this in the original post, the front uprights and rear bushings holes are set up to accept .712 jig wheels (for .812 wheels).

3d-Racing has already ordered a kit.  We can't wait for its arrival, build, and thorough testing later this month.

Thanks Dom for supporting our hobby!

Chassis kit were mailed out on Saturday.  I will have the back orders filled, packaged, and in the mail on Tuesday (Holiday Monday) the latest.

Here is a tutorial on how I build the chassis.  Nothing surprising here for the experience builder but for the new person it will help with the build.

Hi Michael,

Yes I have more kits available. I will be shipping out back orders for kits on Tuesday. Anyone who orderEd assembled chassis (plus one RTR) will be in the mail Wednesday afternoon. The kits will also have a new steel tongue and this will be the tongue going forward.

Congrats to Collin Martin for taking 2nd at NERR with the new Stalker Chassis 1 lap behind Keith Libby with a scratch built version of the original design of the Stalker.  Thanks to everyone who ran my new chassis this weekend at NERR and Retro East.

The Stalker took 7 of 8 top spots at NERR this weekend. Five of which I built up as Ready to Race cars! I took the win followed by Collin Martin and Ricky Pratt. Thanks to Collin Martin, Vinny Cafazzo, Christopher Jay Davis, Peter Lentros, Robert Hazelwood, Ricky Pratt, Speedy Lang, Jordan Temple, and Rollie Lapierre for choosing to run the Stalker.

Are those steel tongues available for those who purchased earlier versions of the kit?
