Beautiful body, Bob.  What do you use to outline the patterns and detail work?  Thanks.....

I have a couple bodies I would like to paint, but I'm hesitant due to the lack of masking for the windows.  What process do you use to make masks for windows when needed?

Hi Jairus I use windshield retention tape , you can buy at a glass shop that installs windshields made by CRL co. It is 1 1/2 wide. Lay it inside the body windshield and trim around the patten of the windshield and side and rear windows, be steady and also I use X-Life #11 blades extra Sharp they are the best. I hope I was if help. Good luck! Bob

Bob, do you use the windshield retention tape just for window masking, or do you also use it for masking numerals  & other large body areas? Did you settle on one paint manufacturer's brand when the Pactra became difficult to obtain? Any truth to last fall's rumor.that you & a partner might open another Londonderry raceway?

Hi Bill you can use it for any masking also Bob Lively liquid mask is great to use. What ever works. Spaz Stix paint is by far the best paint for lexan , I also use it on my wood carvings I believe you saw at the raceway. It is pre mixed ready to shoot, needs good venting and to wear a good mask. Light and Bright!!. As far as a raceway goes, there is no loyality from racers that buy on line. Your working on 40% out of that all the bills and what's left. So no Raceway. No partners

@Jarius, can you either describe your method of window masking, or direct me to your forum topic describing it?  I thank you in advance.

John, I use 3m #2080EL masking tape and cut it with a very sharp blade.
Super simple and the material doesn't bleed or shrink when the paint hits it.

It's a tape artists use for airbrushing. And the only place in Salem I can buy it is at an art supply store.
Low tack and leaves no adhesive behind.

I use frogtape delicate surface yellow tape....low tack. You can find it at home depot or lowes

my technique is to place a piece of tape on the inside of the body, and the use a crayon and rub it sideways across the inside of the window. it makes a fine line you can use to cut the tape after you remove it from the body...

Hey Bob- missed seeing you at the Hillbilly Nats this month...
