Todd,
If you can find the 1/24   again, send me a link.

What were lane centers on your Strom track, was it 3-1/2?

Link sent, as of this writing four days left in auction.

Strombecker lane centers were 3.5" and the slots were really shallow. Interesting thing, for the three-lane track, the straights were 14", as opposed to the 12" for the two-lane. Only one radius curve.

The only disappointing thing about the Marx 1/24 track was the single radius curve, so you were stuck with a two-lane layout. Otherwise the track was really good. I have owned only one set... I picked up a complete set, with both cars, all barely used, for pocket change at a flea market years ago, back when I was buying up everything and anything slot car related, and before eBay.

The only bad aspect of Marx was that the track rail joints. Always had one rail that had the female side facing the run direction and it was hard on braids. You were running against the grain, so to speak. It's funny that it was only sold as the Sears set, never under the Marx label.

If anybody is curious about the Artin 1/32 track, I pulled out a couple pieces today to show the way it fits and how the connections are made.   I put two pieces together and got a great, tight fit, better than the Carrera track I use.   The connecting plug in extension is longer than the Carrera track.

When pushed together, it attaches really solid and you have to release 2 tabs underneath to separate the track.

Here are two 1/25 scale cars on this track, plainly not suitable for  big stuff.
