I've never seen one. Perhaps some of the Asian companies manufacture them. Amazon might have such an item, if they exist. Slick 7 once made adapters to put 3/16" bearings in a 1/4" hole, but I don't think they made an adapter for a 1/4" bearing in a 3/16" hole..

Have you asked Google? He might know.
I am not a doctor, but I played one as a child with the girl next door.

Yeah, I called Google and they couldn't find anything that was reasonable. Not paying more for a set of ball bearings then the chassis itself.

Why wouldn't a 1/8" x 1/4" bearing work by using a tapered reamer on the hole?

It could - just didn't want to remove a lot of material off the uprights.

For most stuff I use... AVID BBs... .190" OD X .095" ID... .095" thick... with flange.
They cost $2 each!!!

You actually found some? A 1/16" difference between the OD and ID seems impossibly small. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding.

Yes, that would imply perhaps 0.01" each for inner and outer races and, for example, 0.022" diameter balls - seems unlikely.

They are made. I have them in an old offset racer we race but don't know where they came from.

It would be interesting to see a pic of them.
They must have some minuscule balls.
