Who makes a 1/8" x 3/16" flanged ball bearing?

I've never seen one. Perhaps some of the Asian companies manufacture them. Amazon might have such an item, if they exist. Slick 7 once made adapters to put 3/16" bearings in a 1/4" hole, but I don't think they made an adapter for a 1/4" bearing in a 3/16" hole..

Yeah, I called Google and they couldn't find anything that was reasonable. Not paying more for a set of ball bearings then the chassis itself.

Why wouldn't a 1/8" x 1/4" bearing work by using a tapered reamer on the hole?

It could - just didn't want to remove a lot of material off the uprights.

Doublecheck your sizes... I think you are off on your OD...

What are you thinking - .193"? Trying to use them in the JK X21 4-1/2" chassis.

Hi Jeff,

For most stuff I use... AVID BBs... .190" OD  X  .095"  ID... .095" thick... with flange.
They cost $2 each!!!

You actually found some? A 1/16" difference between the OD and ID seems impossibly small. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding.

Yes, that would imply perhaps 0.01" each for inner and outer races and, for example, 0.022" diameter balls - seems unlikely.

They are made. I have them in an old offset racer we race but don't know where they came from.

It would be interesting to see a pic of them.

They must have some minuscule balls.

Those are 1/8" x 1/4".

The OD on the flange of a 1/8" x 3/16" oilite is only approx. .250".

The H&R chassis uses 1/4" OD bushings, not 3/16".
