I would imagine depending on how ratty the rat rod is :laugh2:

Won't be *stock* or *stock 36D* as they're stock bodyshells. Does it have a monster
or unlimited motor with neo magnets/rc arm custom machining?

Is it a rail?

If none of the above probably in the Rods classes, if not Altered I'd guess Gas ?

Will check with Bob :)

I got a rule question today on the use of 'multi-gears'.

Valid question - Thought it over and .... a Rule needed to be clarified.

==========

Rule Update:

Multi-Gear, Belt drive, Chain drive or Direct drive set-ups are allowed in all classes with the exception of "Stock" and "Stock 36D"  classes.

Race Day Track and Tire Prep Procedure:

Clean is the goal for 'no bars cars' we call'em 'slot poppers'

1.-  Track will be cleaned of all traction compound from the bleach box to the finish line.

2. - Drivers will do a line lock style bleach box burn-out with lighter fluid then spin them up over the line to 'clean and heat'em up'. Top Fuel/ Funny Car style.

3. - Drivers will wipe their lane out to ~ 1/4 track and by time the car is staged the track and tires are dry.

4. - Drivers will 'cardboard' the tires on the return road trip to remove some of the brake goop. Front and rear tires on the Stock Classes as they must run on the front tires. (See above.)

For the Exhibition classes will run last. The car the owner can put a note in the box with the car if they want 'glue' or clean and we will accommodate.

I mentioned 'fire burnouts' to Bill P. and he was not completely opposed to the idea.

No guarantee but it sure would make for some great highlight video.

Had a rule question come up:

Q - What size the front tires are for the "Stock 36D" cars?  Modern drag tires are 3/4".

A - 3/4" modern foam fronts are fine... just no 'o' rings. Actually look perfect when matched up with the same rear wheel style.

Setting 3/4 as the min. It sounds small but considering the rear spec is 1" it is still somewhat scale in relation to the rears..

3/4" = 18"

1" =  24"

A 5" dia. difference.

Real 1:1 Stock class cars are typically 25 to 27"" front and 30" rear.

1: Are we allowed to use 3/32 axle and gears ( 64 pitch )
YES

2: Ball bearings in axle allowed?
YES

3: Are "modern day" tires and rims allowed? The "old" stuff is getting really hard to find.
YES

4: Is there a limit as to number of cars a person can enter.
NO

More questions bring more answers which brings more questions...LOL

Q - With the rule Q&A posted, ... the 3/32 axles & 64 pitch gears does that mean the modern 64 drag gears? All classes?

A - Yes, any vintage or modern 64p in any class.

Q - Plus the modern rims/sponge, i know we've already allowed modern rear sponge and plain rims (+ inserts) does this now include drag fronts, any rim any rubber except O rings? All classes?

A- Vintage rubber or modern foam fronts in Stock and Stock 36D.

'O'rings allowed on all other classes.

Vintage or Modern wheels with or without inserts allowed in all classes
