December's D3 Hardbody race report has been posted at our Smugmug website.

A decent turnout of hardbody racers at Buena Park Raceway during this busy holiday period. Several of our regulars were missing but the races were closely contested while having a lot of fun.

A David vs. Goliath race found Jay Henry driving his "David" (a Mini Cooper) against a very fast GTP (Goliath) driven by Eddie Shorer. The outcome found these two cars very close at the finish with Eddie's car edging out the tiny Mini for first place. A terrific race by Jay with the ever fast Eddie Shorer coming out on top for yet another top finish with his GTP. A "Lap Differential" is used to level the playing field for different racing classes, thus a "Mini" can compete against a GTP.

The second race had two NASCARs racing against a field of GTPs. This time Ken Dylke driving a '59 Chevy nearly won against a GTP driven by Craig Williamson. Besides the regular race won by Phil Nyland with a GTP, Dylke's Chevy nearly won the "Racer Handicap" portion of this race.

Thanks to Debby and Jim Watterson (and Eddie and Chris) for their support of D3 Hardbody Racing at BPR.

Thanks to our race directors, Keith Tanaka, Mill Conroy, Ken Dylke.

The next D3 Hardbody races on Sunday, Dec. 31st (New Year's Eve). Mixed race at noon followed by the GTP/NASCAR race.

Great day of fun, Thanks to Jim Lane for loaning a car, and Keith's help.
