Post-race teardown and cleanup of one of my flexi race cars.

During the race, power seemed intermittent at times, and car was slow overall.

Brush/comm inspection - looks fine, plenty of brush life left, comm looks fine.

I found the problem - broken front axle oilite :laugh2:

Motor is fine. Car is broke :laugh2: Easy fix.

The funny part is, I had a pre-conceived notion the motor was failing.

And I totally admit that was stupid of me

This is why I never clean the scum off until after I post-race inspect the car :D

Cheater taught me to read scum patterns a long time ago

If you're not tearing up some equipment, you ain't racing.

The car finished the race no problemo :sun_bespectacled:

I was going to ask how your motor could go south when you live in Mississippi, but then you added your explanation. :D

I am not a doctor, but I played one as a child with the girl next door.

With a hit that hard, surely something else must be busted.

Amazingly, the front wheels are still perfect and the axle is true.

The flag is gone. Easy fix and the car is back in the game

I don't think it was you, Bud, may have been Red V. :D

Maybe he should check his rear end for damage
