In addition to a great racing program on its road courses see image below of the larger, Atlanta Raceway Park, the Dirt Oval also shown below is a new addition. Check out the Sprints.

No lane color!  how dose that work?

Lanes are numbered and the numbers are repeated every 10 feet or so. When a car comes off the driver calls out the lane number and car is re-slotted. In the case of a multi-car pile-up the track power is shut off. The system actually works quite well. I recall only one track call the entire evening. With the sprint format, drivers know that in only 8 laps you can't afford and off and drive accordingly
