Two iconic Chicago drag racing institutions,Mr. Norm's Grand Spaulding Dodge and Romeo Palamides.

Romeo Palamides' shop was near where we would change buses, when going fishing at Marquette Park.

Sometimes his shop garage door would be open, and we would get a look at his jet dragster.

Back when he still lived in Oakland, he had the "American" mag wheel, made for one of his 50's dragster's.

It appeared on a magazine cover, and jump started the popularity of that design.

You may wanna take another look, we use seven digits in our phone numbers, not including the area code, so two are missing!

Sam, the guy that made the drawings like Joe's avatar used to live in Denville NJ.  IIRC, his first name was Bob, but for the life of me I can't remember his last name.  He did a series of "Thunderjet" drawings in that style.
