The resale on your motors is strong, John. I might have to start buying them and flipping them for a profit.

John's motors sold in a hock shop!

Not a fan. The title seems to me to be purposely misleading because, while the basic motor "core" is of course "vintage", the armature work of course isn't. Maybe the seller isn't trying to be misleading, but I'd hate to see my stuff seen as being false.
In the end, the internet is the wild wild west. I've seen people selling motors as "H Power" that I had nothing to do with too. In the end, it hurts the buyer and it also hurts me.

My opinion, this thread doesn't belong here, it should be in the eBay forum or something.
But not here in John's house.
The guy bought the motor and he can do whatever he wants with it.
Is it newsworthy in John's forum? IMO, no.

If it belongs any place, it would belong in the eBay forum. Not everything gets listed in the eBay forum.

Get off my lawn!
You guys need to chill. I meant this as nothing but a compliment to John. Sorry that it didn't meet your stringent posting requirements.
PS: You're right, John. I hadn't notice how misleading the title of that auction is. Ironically, I'm sure his auction would do better if he credited you as the builder.

I don't have a problem with the thread being here at all. ***I also should say that I don't know at all that the seller is purposely trying to mislead any potential buyers either. Thinking more about this, I see that the seller is located in Italy, and I've sold a bunch of motors there and I figure that many Italian slotters are aware of my sticker and that it means a modern rebuild/rewind. The language thing is *probably* what's going on...so I hope (if I'm right) the sale goes well. I shouldn't have jumped to any conclusions.

Phil, that's where your other postings about an eBay auction end up, while the auction is still open.

Ok, so was this a actual "H" Motor or a phony ? I was in on it and under that assumption, even though it was being listed by an Italian seller.

Hi Paul,
There was never a question as to whether I had built/wound the motor. The only issue here was that the auction title was a little misleading in that it had the word "vintage" in it, and could have been construed to mean the motor *build* was done back in the day. While I DID rewind motors back then, believe me when I tell you that you wouldn't want one, even if one showed-up today!
