Hey Eddie:

What will be the race format? There are four options (A, B, C, D) listed in the 2018 IRRA® rules. My personal choice would be "B" (two move-ups from each semi) and then "D" (all mains, total laps). I'm sure many of us planning to attend would like to know this info.

Also, have you considered hand-out tires? This worked great at the recent Enduro and really helps reduce tuning time, especially for the out-of-town guys. Maybe use JK Natural Premiums and JK Treated, everyone should be able to find a good combination and the track (you) will make more $$, all good stuff!

I like option D. All mains, total laps. Takes less time and less expense.

Coupe and Stockcar usually is "D" All mains total laps and Can am and F1 are "B" Move ups 2 from each main move up.

Don't like the idea of handout tires, loved it for the enduro but not so much for a Big retro race.

As we are getting closer to this race in September i would like to start a sign up sheet to see who is coming to this event.

We are also looking for sponsors for the T-shirts & give away's. Your contributions would be greatly appreciated for this event.

Please contact me directly via e-mail at Fasteddiesscr@gmail.com

Racers,

The race format for Friday's races for GT Coupe & Stockcars will be option D.

The race format for Saturday will be option B for Formula 1 & CanAm.

There will be no hand out tires or motors for this event.

The motor rules will be the same used in a Premier IRRA®  events as listed in the 2018 IRRA® rules.

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.

What is the braid depth on these two tracks?

Bobby: the tri-oval has varying braid depth, hard to pin one number down. Go with .040" to begin with. The hillclimb is much more consistent. Braid depth is about .035" everywhere, but maybe a little deeper in the donut, .040".

I haven't seen a roll call yet but I'd like to get one going.

When one starts add Biscuit, DZ and JackA$$.
Test, test, test, and go test some more.

Alright guys......only one week away and looking forward to seeing everyone at the races!

I know there are several folks that haven't signed up yet but should be at the race to make for some really good racing next week.

Ralph Thorne did an amazing job on the plaques as always and we are working on t-shirts this week. If you are looking for a t-shirt let me know what size and i'll put it on the side. They will be $20.00 for M - 2X and $24.00 for 3X - 5X

Special thanks to our sponsors for the giveaways: BARTOS RACING PRODUCTS, DOMINATOR CHASSIS, JK PRODUCTS, PAW BRAID, SAMSON CLASSICS, ULTIMATE RACING PRODUCTS.

I will post some more info as we get closer next week. Safe travels to all that will be making the journey.

Unfortunately, it looks like my plans for attending this Friday are canceled.

Last minute work-related business will require me to be in South Florida.

Good luck to everyone in what will surely be one of this year's biggest events in the south.

Our thoughts & prayers go out to our east coast friends preparing for Hurricane Florence. Please stay safe and don't take this storm lightly!!

In the South we are getting closer to the inaugural Southern Retro Rumble and preparing for some really good racing this Friday & Saturday.

The Hillclimb track was cleaned down yesterday and is ready to rumble.

For those of you who making the trip and are not familiar with the Raceway. We are located in a store front on 70th Ave North with business's on either side and have a lot of additional parking around the building for the racers. Please use consideration when parking so we do not block accessibility to the other business's at the front of the building.

The parking spaces in front of the Raceway and towards 70th ave as well as east of the building are abundant.

Sorry I’m going to have to miss this one guys. We have some family medical issues to address before I can think about going racing.

I wish all of you a good time. I’m going to miss seeing some old friends.
