Anyone out there know what motor would have been in this package? I may have it, be great to reunite. Its not perfect but it is signed by John Cukras. So that deserves a place on the self, in my opinion.

Definitely has value. Saw one like that sell on Ebay within the past year without the motor for $137.

I love the fade jobs on those cans. I do have motors with the Cukras sticker but not the fade, Jairus have you ever replicated those fade jobs? I would like to give it try someday. So cool.
Tim, I will show my wife what you said, she thinks I was crazy to buy this box of slot junk. To me it is a treasure chest.

Isn't it curious what happens to that old yellow foam?? It makes a giant mess, I know that.

And if you leave metal objects objects on this foam while it degrades, those items pick up a foam coating that looks like it has been glued on. It's happened to a few of my drafting instruments. I think much of this degrading is caused by ultra- violet light.

This line of motors was know as "Cukrus Signature" motors.

I pretty cool that a few top racers had influences on the slot car buying youth. All part of the Golden years of slot racing.

I would think a "Cukras" sticker would still have copyright enforcement protection.

Yeah, I have. Send it to me and I'll paint it.

Could be, but while John is still around, Mura is not.
I can ask him. But I already printed a few.
Guess I had better ask Sir Cukras for forgiveness then.

Nice offer Jairus, Thank you. Love the one you show.
I really need to learn how to better control my air brush. It dose not atomize like I would like. What pressure would you recommend and would appreciate any other tips you can think of ?
Nice one Steven, thank you.

35psi with the paint the consistency of milk.
Take your time and several passes over each area.
THAT is after the base color has fully cured for a week.

This is not directed toward Jairus or anyone in particular, but I get a chuckle everytime somebody mentions paint "the consistency of milk." This discription is widely used on the net, but nobody ever defines "what grade of milk." The viscosity of milk will depend upon the amount of protein &/or fat in the milk. More of either will make it thicker in consistency. So the term "the consistency of milk" is a meaningless term when describing paint.

Do you paint Bill?
People need a reference to something current and logical and referable.
Sheesh.
What would you LIKE me to say.... "Whole Milk".
That is what I will do from now on.

I guess if you are going to get fussy about paint consistency, you should use a paint viscosimeter. Years ago, when I was doing some
interior wall repair on my house, I asked a house painter friend how thick to mix the plaster. He said it should be "baby sh*t consistency".
I never changed a diaper, so what is "baby sh*t consistency"? We need to find materials that are universal to make comparisons to, like
gasoline. But wait. That's no good. You could blow yourself up. Well, I think you know what I am trying to say.

It’s a real challenge to find shunted brushes that small.
Those appear to be 16D size brushes. Unshunted ones show up occasionally on eBay & elsewhere. Those can easily be shunted using one of the many types of shunt wire sold. You could also use a few strands of copper wire from multi-stranded lead wire.
