Give the program a little time to iron itself out...
As much as I like the FK class, the bad luck people have had with the motor (which I have had none. it is the high overlap which cause much of the motor failures). I don't think people are willing to revisit the situation once again. Only the racers that are running the nats are willing to invest in that class. I will prep a car for it, but there is only a handful of racers that will.
As we have seen in other cheap chinese motors, the Phoenix motor will have some fast ones and slow ones. The brushes are good for maybe three races, so it is like retro racing, the "hunt" for the "one". More racers are figuring out the setup as a lot of racers are in the 2.6-7 sec lap times now in the unrestricted class.
Someone needs to write up the racing reports and scheduling promptly, as BRP takes too long to do the race results. As up to date reporting will keep people interested and racing.
I will do the race reporting.
This last race Evan McKee won Phoenix restricted and unrestricted, and I believe with new race total laps records no less.
I think Phoenix spec and Phoenix open rolls off the tongue better and easier to type!
