Do radial cobalt magnets get rezapped the same as normal cobalt magnets or do they require a special technique to ensure that they are still radial?

Good question. I don't have the answer, but I have thought that zappers all charge magnets "straight-through". If that's the case, then magnets made from radially-charged segments would (*I think???) then be charged "linearly".
