What the heck, I'm going to use one of your guides on the Weightshifter since it's so lo-tech!

I'll make you one where you can move the weight, fore and aft. LOL.

Well, I've made one with an adjustable guide angle so making one with an adjustable guide lead should be a piece of cake.

That's a very handsome chassis, Jay.
Probably don't need something like that in our vintage races, but if you loosen the screws you can bring back the AMT 'sliding weight' concept! (which worked as well as most other gadgets in the '60s...)

Well, maybe not everybody, it's not exactly a "kit car". But it will be interesting to see what others come up with.
I already want one!

Gee, thanks mister!
That's cheap at twice the price... So I'll take 2!

So how long do you think it will be before someone offers a kit of it?

Dave:
I think it would be quite a while until someone like JK would make a kit, if ever. After that maybe RGeo or Dom Luongo, but that's only if it proves to be the "next big thing". I don't think there's enough evidence to say that yet. However, as with all new innovations it takes a little time to develop and prove it out. Even without a lot of testing I've got some ideas how to improve on this design.

If anyone issues a kit, it will be Mid America first.
I intend to live forever! So far, so good.

Jay,
Let us know how it works after you you get a chance to test it a bit.

Will do GVP... I plan to take this one to the upcoming Gator Region monthly retro race next weekend at Fast Eddie's in Pinellas Park, FL. I suspect more smaller main rails (i.e. softer) would be more appropriate for the Hillclimb there but that's what testing is for. I'll be sure to post what I find out.

I took Jay's car out for a few laps while at the 4 hour enduro in Melbourne Fla. It is certainly responsive to each little adjustment of the weights. And it's very quick to do. Just take your tire wrench and make an adjustment in seconds and back on the track you go!
