With deep regret I must inform you that Cindy has been diagnosed with a fairly rare form of bone cancer. Treatable... yes. Curable... maybe. Regardless the treatment and recovery period will be close to a year. Many, many changes will have to be made short term to be sure she has the care she needs. For the biggest part of recovery, she will have very restricted mobility. I am working at putting the business in semi-hibernation to be there for her.
We will be open only about 20-25 hours per week. All slot racing has been put on hold, although I am working on a way to possibly have a reduced schedule. There are too many unknowns right now to firm up a definite plan, but I will do my best to keep everyone informed about future racing.
My apologies to the ORS racers wanting the 2019-20 schedule. I finished the schedule just as this situation started and it never got posted. I have passed it on to the two other BoD members and any decisions will be theirs. Tom Thumb Hobbies will not be hosting any ORS races the season. There is an OCC race scheduled here in January. Since it generally has less of an impact on staff, we hope we can still host it. I have not talked to Justin yet so he may or may not think it best to move the race. The Nolen Memorial Six-Hour Enduro also will not be held this year.
The R4/13 is being postponed! It is being moved to March 19-21, 2021. Cindy is adamant about returning to “business as usual” including slot racing as soon as humanly possible. Especially the R4. It is a ton of work but also, we both have many, many friends that we will miss if not for the reschedule.
Those of you that have been praying please continue to do so. Any and all prayers are greatly appreciated. Pray often, and not just for her but for all others battling this cruel disease.
This is the hardest thing we have ever had to deal with. Cindy is a rockstar with how well she is dealing with it. Me... not so much. I feel like months-old roadkill. But we are optimistic.
We will see you all soon!

Mike and Cindy,
So incredibly sorry to hear this and to know the anguish it has brought to the McMasters family.
You know I'll be praying for you both and I hope that will be the case for everyone here at Slotblog, even the ones that haven't met Cindy and you.

"Effective immediately Jason, who many know as the 'Sunday Guy,' will be opening Friday and Saturday from 10 AM to 6: PM. Sundays will still be Noon until 5 PM. We will continue to be closed on Monday as always and for the immediate future Tuesday as well. Since there are still so many unknowns about her treatment and how quickly she will recover, beyond this I can’t predict. Until more is learned Wednesdays and Thursdays are uncertain. Please call ahead on these days. Updates will be posted in as many places as I can.
We both want to give all who have shopped with us a heartfelt “Thank You.” It has been an honor, one which we look forward to continuing. Special thanks to all those praying for her recovery. With faith in God, your continued prayers, her determination, and modern medicine, we are both certain this is only a speed-bump.
1. Please call ahead to check if we are open on days not listed above.
2. Email me at info@tomthumbhobbies.com and I will try to answer promptly.
3. Please do not attempt to leave a message on our voice mail. It is not monitored.
4. I will do everything I can to be of service to any customer. Just understand Cindy comes first.
Thanks for your understanding.

I am so sorry to hear this. I always enjoyed my visits to Tom Thumb spanning four decades. But I will be there in 2021 to see both a healthy and well Cindy. I will be thinking of the McMasters family as they start this journey.
Our thoughts are with you from the North East Raceway group of racers,
