After almost a year of running my custom Stock Car that has had great success, I think it’s time to announce that I will start selling kits and making chassis for both the Stock Car and the F1 chassis that I also have had success with.

I will disclose that the Stock Car design is a copy of a Brian “XPro” Cochrane frame that I really liked the idea of and decided to copy it and immediately saw its potential. I was able to TQ with it twice on the Gerding King at Port Jeff in NY, and TQ and win, break all the records on a fast hHllclimb at Fast Tracks in PA, and win setting a new lap record on the Engleman at SpeedZone in NJ. These performances were good enough to secure the Retro East Stock Car championship,. This is the only car I’ve ran the whole season.

With the success of this chassis design, I decided to try converting the chassis into the other classes. The F1 was the one that immediately took off first time on the track and won its first race the next day on the Gerding King at Port Jeff. The Coupe and Can-Am proved to show potential but needed more work to be a top-tier chassis.

Coupes and Can-Ams are in the prototyping phase right now and will hopefully be out soon.

Kits will be $45 and have discounts to raceways. The kits will feature the chassis pieces, a spacer to raise the guide tongue (if needed), and a 2° bracket. I have started making frames and will eventually get around to doing RTR cars if there is interest.

The standard Stock Car is milled out of 0.040" brass with 12 rails of 0.047" and come in around 134 grams. I also have other variants of this Stock Car which include: an eight-rail 0.047" version which will come in a gram or two lighter, an 0.032" brass version with 12 rails of 0.047", which has a RTR weight around 122 grams, with its eight-rail counterpart coming in a gram or two lighter. I am also willing to do a LTO version of this car if there is a demand for it.

The standard F1 is milled out of 0.040" brass with eight rails of 0.047" and comes in around 98 grams. I can also mill them out of 0.050" brass to get the car heavier, with more weight down low for the flatter style tracks. I will also consider doing it out 0.032" brass for the west coast racers if there is a demand for it.

I will be making a tutorial for the Stock Car and F1 as soon as possible.

I like how you do the body limiters...seems to be safer for marshalls that just a piece of wire sticking up

Had a decent start to the Retro East series this past weekend at Fast Tracks in PA.

In stock car I ran the same car that held the track record there with a 3.881 and killed it with a fast 3.791. That makes this chassis the first stock car to break the 3.8 and the 3.7 barrier there. The race was less than desirable though after losing a gear multiple times, still had a good chance of winning after the first time but losing the gear a second and a third time put me out of it and had to settle with a 6th.

In can-am I tried a prototype out and it was only half a tenth off of the car I decided to run and won with, so with a little more tweaking, it could see its first race soon.

Interesting chassis. They make me question chassis flex theories.

If you want chassis built before the Fall Brawl in November, let me know before October 15th to guarantee I can get them out with plenty of time to set up. Don't be left behind as this stock car design currently holds the total lap record on their track.
